Atomic Ape

About the artist

Atomic Ape catapults your ears into an unpredictable universe of swirling musical mayhem, creating thrilling cinematic adventures and psychedelic cartoons in your mind's eye. Led by classically trained, composer/multi-instrumentalist, Jason Schimmel (Estradasphere, Secret Chiefs 3), Atomic Ape brings progressive rock, balkan folk, klezmer-jazz, surf rock and more into a smorgasbord of heavily orchestrated, tight, odd-metered, fast-paced compositions with wild improvisations and complex arrangements.
