Saved songs

Bookmarks are stored in your browser on this device. They are not a cloud account or backup. Clearing browser storage removes them. Playlist transfer uses a separate service and its own privacy practices.

Music requests

Searches and selected artists or tracks are sent to our server and relevant information providers. Our database caches music responses and counts normalized search terms without attaching visitor identifiers. Avoid entering private information into search fields.

External services

Loading images or a YouTube player connects your browser to those providers. News, shopping, browser-extension and playlist-transfer links open external services with their own policies. They may receive your IP address and browser information. Hosting providers also process technical request data to operate and protect the site.

Short-link measurement

The Web Scrobbler download link passes through go.alamedamarketing.co, our Alameda Marketing short-link service. Following it records a click and provides reports such as source, campaign, country, device and browser, plus an estimated daily unique-visitor count and bot classification. This happens on the redirect service when you follow the link, separately from optional Google Analytics on Babysharks. Rejecting Google Analytics does not disable this redirect measurement. Clicks do not tell us whether you installed the extension, connected an account or listened to a song. Open the official Chrome listing directly without our short-link measurement.

Optional measurement

Analytics tags load only after consent and only when configured. Google Analytics measures visits and app actions after you opt in. Quantcast audience measurement also loads after renewed opt-in on the main app. Awin measurement remains inactive. If enabled, intended measurements cover page visits, playback errors and actions such as saving or following an outbound link; saved-song lists and raw search text are not sent as analytics event fields.

You can change your measurement choice in the app footer. Rejecting measurement does not stop requests needed for music search or a player you choose to load.

Measurement providers

Google Analytics measures visits and app actions only after opt-in where configured. Quantcast audience measurement requires renewed consent. Awin affiliate attribution remains inactive and would require a further consent update. We do not supply an email address or user ID to Quantcast. These providers receive device, connection and browsing information and may use cookies. Quantcast may use data for interest-based advertising. Google advertising personalization stays disabled. Google Tag Manager manages Google Analytics; the app loads Quantcast after opt-in.

Read the Google privacy policy, Quantcast privacy policy and opt-out information, and Awin privacy policy. When measurement is enabled, use Privacy choices in the app footer to withdraw consent. Global Privacy Control keeps optional tags off. Existing consent will be requested again when the disclosed purposes change.
