Our aim is to make discovery easier while making the origin and limitations of information clear.

Artist information and rankings

Biographies, genre tags, similar artists and song rankings come from Last.fm . A popularity ranking is not an editorial score or a paid recommendation. Artists with the same name can be confused by upstream databases; check source links when identity is uncertain.

News & Stories

Reviewed links have a source, publication date and short original summary based on the linked report. Useful older coverage is retained for artists between releases.

We also check NewsData.io for recent English-language headlines from selected music and general-news publishers. Automated matches must name the performer in the headline; ambiguous one-word names also need a music term. This reduces unrelated matches but cannot guarantee identity.

Automated headlines are not independently reviewed articles. Dates labeled “Found” are discovery dates, not verified publication dates. We do not invent summaries from headlines, republish full articles or copy news photographs. Follow the publisher link to read the story.

The free NewsData feed covers the latest 48 hours with a 12-hour delay. Its five-source filter currently checks Pitchfork, Stereogum, NME, Billboard and Rolling Stone. Results are cached for up to 12 hours. Without NewsData configured, the site can check the GDELT recent index instead. Neither index covers every artist or publication. Missing results or an unavailable feed do not establish that no news exists. A news-search link allows further exploration.

Photographs

Photos include the original file source, credit and supported Creative Commons license. Missing or unsupported licensing means we omit the image.

Independence and corrections

Affiliate relationships do not change popularity rankings, related-artist results or news-source selection. Shopping links are not independent product reviews.

Reviewed summaries can be corrected in our editorial catalog; upstream facts remain linked to their credited sources. We do not claim firsthand reporting or expertise we have not demonstrated.

AI-assisted tools help develop the site and prepare summaries. Reviewed summaries are checked against their source; automated headline entries are distinguished from them.
