The Devil's Interval

About the artist

The Devil's Interval was an English folk trio that combined the individual vocal talents of Lauren McCormick, Jim Causley and Emily Portman, all, at the time, recent graduates of Newcastle University's "Folk and Traditional Music" degree (the first of its kind in England). The English song tradition that is strongly expressed in their solo work is also present in their group repertoire, an eclectic mix ranging from Tom Waits to Phoebe Smith and Dolly Parton.
