The Conformists are an "experimental punk band" (according to their handwritten press kit) from across the river. They reside in St. Louis, Missouri, USA. Stylistically, their music is heavily deconstructionist, in the same vein as U.S. Maple, Yowie (who currently shares their drummer), or even Australia's "My Disco." They typically employ long passages of repetition peppered with nuances, sometimes purposely making use of rhythms that make it sound as if they are skipping beats.
