About the artist

Seis com Casca is a Brazilian sextet formed by Bruno Monteiro (piano), Potiguara Menezes (guitar), Diogo Maia (clarinet), Nikolay Iliev (violin), Mauricio Biazzi (double bass) and Nelson Carneiro (percussion and vibraphone). The sextet's repertoire ranges from Astor Piazzolla, their main inspiration to Pixinguinha, Luiz Gonzaga, Nino Rota and Sergey Prokofiev, among others. Their aim, they declare, is "to show classical music in a popular way, and popular music in a classical way".
