Perla
About the artist
Perla, the stage name of Ermelinda Pedroso Rodríguez D'Almeida (Caacupé, 17 March 1952), is a Paraguayan Brazilian singer. Born and raised in Paraguay, she moved to Brazil at an early age in search of challenges and opportunities. Her career gained great visibility because she aimed to make the great international successes accessible to the masses, because at that time the LP discs were expensive to the majority of people. So she adapted several songs to portuguese/spanish, selling with a lower cost.
