Muma

About the artist

There seems to be multiple artists under this name. Muma (SE/TR) is the musician alter ego of Mehmet Ali Arslan, who delicately replants his Kurdish/Turkish roots in a landscape of rock with a breeze of jazz. Listening between the notes, the curious listener can trace Mehmet’s path through the eclectia of Radiohead, Esbjörn Svensson Trio, The Cinematic Orchestra, A Perfect Circle, Jaga Jazzist and Tool. The themes evolve around our relationships with each other and the Earth, spirituality and Love.
