Maoi

About the artist

It was at the ripe old age of 14 that ‘maoi’ started to be heavily influenced by the minimal, house and electro sounds of the 90s and that maoi the musician was born. Over the years his tastes became increasingly catholic and he also began to incorporate hip hop, jazz, ambient and oriental influences into his mixes. A significant album for his aural development was coldcut’s ’stoned, chilled…groove’ epic and maoi was inspired to produce ambient compilations and to mix a variety of tracks.
