John Piper

John Piper (born January 11, 1946, Chattanooga, Tennessee) is Pastor for Preaching and Vision at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Minneapolis, Minnesota where he has served since 1980. Piper holds degrees from Wheaton College, Fuller Theological Seminary and the University of Munich. He is a prolific author, preacher and speaker, perhaps best known for the idea of "Christian Hedonism," which may be summarized in the idea that "God is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied in Him."
