Frank Wright

About the artist

Frank Wright was a fiery tenor saxophonist. He gained recognition from his albums on the ESP-DISK label, recorded during the late sixties. He went on to record with such artists as Peter Brotzmann, Bobby Few, Noah Howard, and Alan Silva. He died in 1990. ---- Biography by Chris Kelsey (taken from Allmusic Guide) ---- Wright never made much of a name for himself outside the innermost circle of free jazz musicians and fans, yet he was influential in his own subversive way.
