Dark Illumination, founded in 1991, is the latest in an astounding new wave of German electronic acts, loosely grouped in a category often referred to as "intelligent body music" - a mixture of percolating rhythms, uplifting dance beats, and industrially dark noises; comparable to the works of Forma Tadre, Haujobb, and Clock DVA.
