Class of '55

About the artist

Recorded at Sun Recording Studio, American Studio, Memphis, Tennessee in September, 1985. Includes liner notes by Joe Sasfy. Class of '55: Carl Perkins, Johnny Cash (vocals, guitar); Jerry Lee Lewis (vocals, keyboards); Roy Orbison (vocals). Class of '55: Memphis Rock 'n' Roll Homecoming brings Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Roy Orbison, and Carl Perkins -- all members of the Sun Records stable during its heyday -- together for an all-star recording session, which finds the quartet tackling a mixture of oldies and new material.
