About the artist

Block was a metal band that fused elements of funk, grunge, jazz and alternative music into their sound. The band consisted of Shawn Wolter on guitar, Jeremy McCallahan on bass and Garrett Dwyer on drums. They formed in late 1995 and disbanded in 1997. Shawn and Jeremy are originally from Manchester, Iowa and Garrett was from Cedar Rapids. They meet while going up to University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls. All three members still reside in Iowa and have ventured out into different careers.
