Bakey

About the artist

Bakey has cemented his name as one of the coldest rising talents in bass music. Built on respect for soundsystem and UK club culture, he takes weighty cues from El-B, Breakage, Zed Bias & Calibre. His sets arrange vivid fragments from the golden age of Leeds’s underground scene with a discography that distils powerful low-end, tight drums and driving hooks that have become his hallmark. Leeds shaped him as an artist, from his first SUBDUB on Sinai Soundsystem and closing out Wire Club and The Old Red Bus Station
