Asher Gamedze

About the artist

'Dialectic Soul', the debut LP from drummer Asher Gamedze is now up for pre-order. 5*, 'Incredible' and 'LP of the Year' reviews are already arriving. Robin D.G. Kelley wrote that "it will render you completely incapacitated for the rest of the day. It's a piece of music that you'll not forget". Asher introduces the themes that constitute the album; free drums representing autonomous African motion, the saxophone reflecting deeply & honestly on the violence of colonialism.
