Ancient North
About the artist
Ancient North is an American black metal band founded in 2022 in Newport, Oregon, by Forlorn Blacktooth (Barak Daniels). Originally conceived as a one-man project, Ancient North later evolved into a full band while continuing to be driven by Forlorn's creative vision. Featuring an intentionally raw and old-school production, Ancient North draws heavy inspiration from the second wave of Norwegian black metal, particularly the early trilogy of Darkthrone, as well as the classic sound of Gorgoroth, Ancient, Kvist, and Troll.
